Caught My Eye

Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin is a book I’ve been seeing around the blog-o-sphere quite often.  It is a Mississippi crime novel which surrounds two childhood friends in the 1970’s, one white and one black, and a young girl who disappears.  Years later, the former friends cross paths again when another person goes missing, and they must now confront the suspicion that has followed one of the men since the first crime.

A book about polio!  By Philip Roth!  Sign me up.  Nemesis, you were meant for me.

At first I didn’t think I was interested in either of Tatiana DeRosnay’s books, but it is hard to resist all the great reviews I’ve been seeing.  Also, I thought they were about completely different things.  Which I don’t know how I got that idea.  Anyways, let’s read them!

Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter sounds a great reading for a lazy weekend! Oh, and talking about Southern destinations, you do have to read The Help, it’s just great: you laugh, you cry, you get angry etc.
